Awich, SugLawd Familiar, and CHICO CARLITO get together for an Okinawan celebration in “LONGINESS REMIX” music video.
Directed by fellow Okinawan native Kohei Yonaha, the visual premiered yesterday (April 18), which centers on an extended family gathering for their matriarch’s 97th birthday, featuring many of the artists’ real family members.
It puts the spotlight on several local traditions and settings including the eisa/エイサー (Okinawan folk dance) and bingata/紅型 (centuries-old Okinawan dyeing technique), “LONGINESS REMIX” delves deep into the rich, proud traditions of the tropical Japanese island.

The single was first released in December 2022 and has since racked up over 5 million streams. “LONGINESS REMIX” shortly follows Awich’s collaborative single with Thai rapper OG BOBBY, “YEAH.”
