  1. I’ve been noticing a disturbing trend on Dx lately. While I don’t get to comment as much as I like (because I have a life) I have noticed that the site is going further down hill than even thought previously possible. Basically Ural is using this site to boost his ‘journalist’ career with the amount of ‘editorials’ he’s been posting recently. This isn’t a HipHop site anymore, the writers are turning this site into tamer MediaTakeOut, or ‘urban’ TMZ. Let’s take a look at these editorials, 4 out of the last 10 have Drake in the headlines, and here’s the disturbing part 2 out of the last 13 are about SLIM JESUS. That may not sound like a lot but in case you didn’t know, in the last couple months artists like: Talib Kweli, Method Man, and Jay Rock have put out incredible projects, but you wouldn’t know that visiting this site. They don’t get editorials, hell they hardly get news coverage. Meanwhile some joke like Slim Jesus constantly gets new links. This site is turning more into the ‘writers’ (and I use that term loosely) opinions and social media ‘events’, than it is about actual HipHop news. Pathetic.

    1. Thanks 4 the info about Talib, Meth and JayRock. Could you recommend me some good HipHop-News Site? Im sick of HipHopDX

    2. This comment is the realest shit i have read on this site for a long time haha! hiphopdx actually read these comments and take notice of how laughable your site has really become.

  2. I think because this is the internet the information moves way too fast. Even for a hip-hop news site it’s tough to sift through all the content out there and decide what’s relevant for the day. Media Takeout is different in that it creates content and throws it on their site where as HHDX looks at trends in the media. People like drake so they tend to do Drake related content, it’s sticking to the rivers (and lakes that your used too…damn I shouldn’t of took it there) that yield the most fish. Pretty soon HHDX will go the way of Allhiphop,SOHH, Hiphopgame, Ballerstatus etc. and offer quantity over quality trying to find its identity and in the process make itself obsolete. Today’s Hiphopdx is tomorrow’s HopHippersomethingorother.com that enjoys success until it just simply stops. Birth. Rhymes. Death.

  3. Im glad people are speaking out. Long time DX readers have had it. A real alternative is need at this point.

  4. I don’t hate on people for no reason but did this clown seriously compare himself to Pac? Maaaaan this fool needs a reality check, like now.
