According to a familiar cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words. Your favorite celebrities—including rappers—are doing less and less press, but luckily their thumbs and smartphones still work. Instagram has provided a way for them to document their lives and/or thoroughly embarrass themselves for our collective enjoyment. The beauty of it all is that you don’t even need to join Instagram, as most rappers are perfectly fine leaving their feeds open for public viewing. And if you’d rather avoid the IG life altogether, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s pictures and videos and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, 50 Cent, Young Buck and Kidd Kidd hang out backstage at the “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” tour and Questlove shares a personal touching story about his first encounter with the late actor Robin Williams. Check the rest of the week’s top Instagram posts below.

Questlove Shares Personal Robin Williams Story

While many shared their favorite film or favorite role played by the late actor Robin Williams, Questlove shared a unique story about his first encounter with the famous comedian. “The smallest gesture can mean the world to you,” the drummer/DJ/producer wrote. “Robin Williams made such an impact on me and didn’t even know it.” During the 2001 Grammys, the actor and The Roots ended up in the same elevator. “This particular Sunday we were walking backstage and had to ride the elevator to the backstage area and we piled inside when suddenly this voice just said “questlove…..black thought….rahzel….the roots from Philadelphia!!!! That’s right you walked on this elevator saying to yourself “ain’t no way this old white dude knows my entire history and discography”….we laughed so hard. That NEVER happened to us before.” Robin Williams was found dead in his home on Monday. RIP Robin Williams.

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V Cover Revealed On ESPN

Like a true sports fan, Lil Wayne headed to the king of all sports networks ESPN to reveal the album cover for his final album. Back in April, Kobe shared a promotional Tha Carter V picture that many confused for the album art. It was simple, white with red lettering. However, it was only meant to build up the hype. The real album cover, which was revealed Thursday morning on “SportsCenter,” is an image of Wayne as a child with his mother. According to Wayne, Tha Carter V, which will be released on October 28, will be his final album.

Drake Flying Over The Moon

Is there anything more magical than flying over the moon while holding on to a stripper pole? While E.T. and Elliott may have first popularized the iconic “flying over the moon” scene (some may argue that witches made it popular), Drake has been bringing it to new levels every night on his joint tour with Lil Wayne. Unfortunately I haven’t attended the “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” tour to report on what song he’s singing/rapping while soaring over the crowd, but whatever it is, I’m sure it just adds to the magic that’s already there.
