DX recently reported that Mariah Carey would release her own fragrance. In addition, the star is also prepping a new television movie, a Broadway show and a music video.
Along the way, MC may have some even bigger surprises up her sleeve.
The singer has two new singles/videos on the way for fans. Say something and the soulful Fly Like a Bird are both on the way.
What are her plans?
“It’s not a big-budget thing. But it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to be about the song, capturing the song and the emotion of it,” she said to MTV, of the Fly video.
She’s also working on an independent film, Tennessee where she won’t be the focal point. “It’s not about my character, but she has an important part of the story without the whole thing resting on my shoulders,” Carey said. “Plus, I’ll be able to get up and go to work and be somebody else for the day, and we like that, because sometimes you just need to get away.”
Later, the singer/actress hopes to take the show on the road to please her fans.
“People ask me, ‘Why don’t you just go on tour and charge huge amounts of money? Do these small venues, but charge thousands and thousands of dollars to go in,’ “Carey said. ”Because I have fans of all different ages and different money ranges, and they can’t afford to go out and spend that kind of money. Not everybody has a budget to go out and go really high-end.”
MC went on to reveal that her dream concert would be one alongside every artist she’s worked with in the past. ”You never know,” she added.
We may even see Jay and Cam join her on-stage.
