HHDX News Bits (50 Cent Complains, Ghostface’s Book)

    50 Cent complains about bias in the
    film industry, specifically the fact that concerned citizens who rallied
    against, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.” He says they haven’t done the same
    for other movies.

    After enduring criticism and
    protesters for holding a gun in advertisements for his debut film, 50 Cent is
    speaking out about the silence in regard to other films with similar ads like
    gun-toting Daniel Craig in advertisements for “Casino Royale.” The
    rapper also cited “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” as another example of a double
    standard in the film industry. Feeling singled out, the Queens rapper is
    allegedly asking for a universal rule about weapons in movie posters.

    50 Cent is currently promoting his
    latest film, “Home of the Brave,” also starring Samuel L. Jackson,
    Christina Ricci, Eva Mendes, and Jessica Biel
    . he film is in theatres on
    December 15.

    Ghostface Killah’s memoir will be in
    bookstores by the end of February according to his publisher, ReganBooks. It
    was previously reported that the rapper had been ordered to return his advance
    after missing a deadline for the manuscript in 2002.

    The book is tentatively titled, Iron
    Man: True Reflections from the Soul of the Wu-Tang Clan.
    It is slated for a
    February. ReganBooks headed by editor Judut Regan, is the bestselling American
    division of Harper Collins. Ghostface‘s biography is the next in a line of celebrity-centered
    titles from the publishing company, has also produced biographies for Mick
    Foley, Jenna Jameson, and Howard Stern.

    In the meantime, Ghostface Killah‘s
    follow-up to Fishscale, More Fish, will be released on December 12.
