Smif-N-Wessun Embark On European Tour For “Monumental”

    Brooklyn, New York veteran Hip Hop duo Smif-N-Wessun are presently in European touring their new album, Monumental. On the summer 2011 release Tek and General Steele teamed with another 1990s Hip Hop icon, Pete Rock, who produced the Duck Down Music release, and rhymed on several tracks.

    The dates in Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland and Greece are as follows:

    Sunday, December 11th – Athens, Greece @ Bios

    Monday, December 12th – Paris, France @ La Bellevilloise (with Torae & Skyzoo)

    Wednesday, December 14th – Gothenburg, Sweden @ Yaki-da

    Thursday, December 15th – Berlin, Germany @ Bohannon

    Friday, December 16th – Munster, Germany @ Skater’s Palace

      1. Wasn’t feelin’ this LP but loved Dah Shinin’ and early Chocolate Boy ish, so it kinda sucks that I can’t see them as they’re not playin’ in the UK. That’s real fucked-up when Europe’s largest Afro-Caribbean community reside here in England.

      2. I agree but even If they came to london etc, there would still be a largely white turnout. Not many blacks in london appreciate groups like Smif N Wessun, BCC (It would be like a 5:1 ratio at most shows). And yeah just to see them perform dah shinin’ songs would have been moving. I suspect they’re afraid of border control.

      Keep promoting that real music. Monumental and M.O.P’s Sparta, two of the better albums of the year, hands down.
