Kanye West Adds Kendrick Lamar To His List Of People Who Need To Meet With Him

Kanye West has added to his list of demands.

After requesting public apologies from Drake and J. Cole, and a meeting with JAY-Z in a Twitter tirade on Monday (September 14), Kanye has now added yet another name to the list, Kendrick Lamar.

“We need Me J Cole Drake Kendrick all in a room 2gthr … it’s time to get free,” he wrote. “We will not argue amongst each other while somebody we don’t know in Europe is getting paid and putting that money in a hedge fund.”

Hours later he elaborated, emphasizing his earlier points about the importance of owning your own masters for an artist. He also showed he was serious about the meeting.

“In the streaming world master ownership is everything… that is the bulk of the income … in COVID artist need our masters … it’s more important than ever before,” he wrote. I got J Cole number waiting for Kendrick and Drake.”

Another update revealed he’d gotten one step closer to Kendrick as he doubled down on his now-infamous quote from his May 2018 TMZ visit.

    1. Although what he’s saying is a valid point but aligning yourself with this guy is high risk. If I was any one of those artists…’that’s a hard pass pimp…I’m good, I have no desire or NEED to meet with you’.

      1. Facts man, like if Kanye is in any sort of leadership position with whatever he’s proposing, then count me out. Plus, this is classic I feel left out. Kanye aint been important since Jay left him. Cole, Kendrick and Drake all know he’s a clown or this wouldn’t have went public.

      1. And that attitude is why blacks are NOT advancing as much as they could.
Many blacks just want to hear nice words and attack people telling facts and truths.

        1. Prince was caught in a bad contract and refused to record for years because of that as Prince and made music under the name “symbol” and finally got a better contract but still most of the money from Prince’s music ended up with the record company.
Prince considered himself to be a slave to the record company and wrote “slave” on his cheek to protest that.

    2. he does make a good point addressing the master ownership and the covid situation. I still have a hard time with kanye talking about “slavery” In earlier albums he seems to get the idea. The struggle to be recognized as a citizen. The blood tears and sweat drop by the many in order to get the right to vote.
Why would he address this in such an immature way. i get the prince reference with the bloodsucking record companies but still. Kanye’s credibility is on thin ice.
