Big Pooh Signs With Mello Music Group & Set To Release Project With Nottz

Big Pooh has signed to Mello Music Group and is slated to release a project with producer Nottz later this year. The Little Brother rapper is also set to release an EP produced by Mello Music Group boardsmen Apollo Brown, Quelle Chris and Oddisee.

Big Pooh is featured on “Juk,” a selection that also features Stik Figa that was included on the recently released Mandala Vol. 2 Today’s Mathematics compilation. “Juk” is available for stream below.

The former Rapper Big Pooh, who is featured on Kendrick Lamar’s “Thanksgiving,” said in 2012 that he hadn’t spoken to Little Brother members 9th Wonder and Phonte in some time.

“We don’t have a relationship,” he said at the time. “Not business or personal. I haven’t spoken to either one of them in awhile. It’s just a thing where it was time for me to walk my own way. I wish those guys the best. I see them. They’re doing shows together and putting out records together…I wish them the best because Little Brother is and will always be a part of my foundation. At the same time I had to step away and finally start taking care of me.”

Funny how we’re the so called editors getting paid a great salary and you’re still a lowly, minimum wage drone.

    4. I dig all of Little Brother solo efforts, but Pooh is putting it down more for the type of hip hop I like, real shit! His songs are better than what 9th and Phonte are currently putting out. FE is cool and so is Jamla, but Pooh shit is better to me at this point

    5. Little Brother might be the most underrated rap group of the 2000s. I really wish they’d come back together for an album or tour or something cause they capable of great music. We didnt get to see Gang Starr reunite one last time. It’d be great for their fans if they did but in the end its not up to us
