KXNG Crooked is joining the entertainment industry’s revival craze by relaunching his Hip Hop Weekly series. Over a decade after the series began, the veteran MC has announced plans to start another year-long run of freestyles on Friday (January 4).
The former Slaughterhouse member unveiled the news via Twitter on New Year’s Day (January 1). His tweet included a snippet of the first freestyle.
Hip Hop Weekly debuted in 2007 and inspired a long list of imitators to create their own weekly series during the “blog era.” After completing the 52-week run of freestyles in 2008, Crooked revisted the series and launched Hip Hop Weekly Reloaded in 2010.
Although the third edition of Hip Hop Weekly hasn’t even begun yet, Crooked is already feeling the love for the series’ return. On Wednesday (January 2), he tweeted about his excitement for what’s to come in 2019.
“Feels good to know that everybody who supports my music is about to go on a ride with me and the Weeklys again,” he wrote.

He always off beat
You can’t be for real. You must be young.
you don’t know what “off beat” means.
Lmao @Cooked you have no idea what you’re talking about
Should have made it a monthly this time. Last time it started losing steam after about 7 or 8 months. That way we could get 12 really good ones.
Layzie bone dropps new diss…annihilation
He told um it was coming
You either like and appreciate Bars or you don’t. it doesn’t matter whether he is Off Beat, On beat or spitting fire without a beat, Crooked has been a Lyrical Assassin for many many years and has been held in high regard from some of the biggest rappers of all time.. Please do your research, he has talked many times about his many different rhyme styles and flows, on beat and off beat. Everyone can like what they like whatever they want, but without even talking about music if someone says Crooks can’t spit flames then they can not call them self a hip hop head. They can be a Hip-Popper, but when you say people like Crook, Thought, KRS, Kane, Moe Dee, Ice Cube, Jay Z, and many others that can spit, can’t, something is wrong. There is artist I do not mess with very much, but I can respect the fact that they are very talented at what they do, it is just not to my liking. I’ve chopped it up with Crook and his brothers the Horse Shoe Gang a couple of time and they are good brothers as well as lyrical Assassins. Peace.
