The Estate Of James Yancey Presents: The J Dilla Turntable

Fans of J Dilla can own a special piece of memorabilia now that the Estate of James Yancey has released a limited edition portable turntable in honor of his legacy.

The Dilla Turntable includes an exclusive 7-inch vinyl of “The Sickness,” the Madlib-produced single with Nas that appeared on the posthumous project, The Diary.

The three-speed product features its own speakers and includes a headphone jack and can be used to record one’s own music. Although the design is small enough to be portable, it can stand alone and can plug into any system that accepts an RCA jack or USB output. Don’t forget the replacement stylus and 45 adapter.

The Dilla Turntable is available for purchase for $120 at Rappcats and is expected to ship December 10.

While waiting for the portable turntable, Dilla diehards can also pre-order Ma Dukes’ children’s book, The Life Story of James Dewitt Yancey, which is set to hit shelves November 22.

    1. That’s a cheap ass turntable…looks likes it’s made with the same cheap shit they make the Crosley turntables out of. Definitely not what you want to play your prized records on.

      1. Yeah man…. sucky thing is… if they put it out on a real one it would be WAY too expensive…. catch 22 that’s too bad… cool idea though…
