The Standard Fires Person Responsible For Jay Z, Solange Knowles Video Leak

The Standard Hotel has released a statement regarding the employee who allegedly sold elevator footage of Solange attacking Jay Z to TMZ.

“The Standard has identified the individual responsible for breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video released by TMZ,” The Standard says in a statement, according to Business Insider. “The Standard has already terminated the individual and will now be pursuing all available civil and criminal remedies. The Standard will next be turning over all available information to the criminal authorities.”

Lawyer Marty Singer reportedly investigated the shopping of the tape. A source recently told UsWeekly that “the video was recorded on a cell phone from the monitors in the back room.” Another source told The New York Post The New York Post that the tape was sold to TMZ for $250,000.

When the video was released, The Standard released the following statement.

“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”

    1. i hate slimy paparazzi dudes…but i love a smart come up. dude is somewhere laughing. he didn’t steal the tape which would be property of the standard. All he did was take a video of people that they were filming anyway. You can’t expect privacy with a camera already in your face.

      1. Ummmm……no where in any form or fashion is this smart. It’s the hotel’s JOB to record hence why it is called SECURITY. If you’re hired by any form of security, it’s one of the most foremost rules that you can’t record anything at all or tamper or duplicate any of their footage. Dude will lose that $250,000 due to criminal breach and end up paying much more. Smarten up…….

    4. you know how long it would take you to even earn never mind save 250 grand working hotel security? Fucks given bout losing his job ZERO!!!

      1. You got that right! That person knew what he/she was doing. shit with that much loot, I would get a new crib and start my own business, fuck that security job.

You can’t be that delusional. It’s hurting me that you think that’s a lot of money. It is but after you get taxed heavy (it is income) you just can’t be serious I’m not even gonna continue. Nvm…

      1. Not after the legal proceedings and the fact that the person tarnished his/her resume. They could’ve been at that job for 15 years and lost it as a reference. If you think there won’t be charges pressed by one of the parties you’re crazy. 250k honestly isn’t much money. Once you get out of high school you’ll see. Shit my house is more than that and I owe that shit to the bank lol so really 250k ain’t doing it for most folks.
