Jeezy continued his giving ways by donating 2,500 backpacks to students in his hometown of Atlanta this past weekend through his Street Dreamz Foundation. The packs were stuffed full of school supplies and will go to elementary school children just in time for back-to-school.
The Snowman bought 1,000 of the backpacks himself, matching his total from a year ago. Lil Jon partnered with Jeezy and purchased an additional 1,000 backpacks. The rest were provided by sponsors of the event called Backpack Blessings Back-To-School Drive, which partnered with Shanti Das and her Hip Hop Professional Foundation, Hot 107.9 Atlanta and Walmart.
Jeezy released his Church In These Streets album last year.
Stop giving empty backpacks to kids and calling it charity! It’s not helping parents as much as you think…
“The packs were stuffed full of school supplies and will go to elementary school children just in time for back-to-school.”
Another thing, shut the fuck up! If you think this is sub-par,then go out and do better for those children! Talking down on another person who is at least trying to make a difference is just flat out bitchmade. Get active and do better!
U don’t deserve the name RNS with a punk ass comment like this
well said
And this improves an impoverished child how? Plus, it’s a tax write off. These so called street rappers need to study history and put together a real plan. AND use their platforms to help change the social and economic positions of the underpriviledged. Fuck a backpack.
what a god damn world, A man is givin’ something to the kids, they criticize him for it.
Easy to hate when it’s all You can do. Did You help anyone in the past year? No? So STFU
How about donating an album with a positive message instead! This is just another “Tax Write Off 101” PR stunt that these washed up rappers do annually. Boo! You ain’t no hood saint.
