Nas Reportedly Signs Dave East To Mass Appeal Records

Dave East has been signed to Nas’ Mass Appeal Records, according to MTV.

“That’s a real new one,” Nas said during a recent interview with Power 105’s Angie Martinez. “I can’t really talk about that one yet.”

East’s Twitter timeline also features several ReTweets stating that he is signed to Nas’ imprint.

Dave East released Black Rose earlier this year, a mixtape that was premiered exclusively by HipHopDX in August.
Black Rose means everything to me,” he said about the project at the time. “Where I’m from, it’s a dark cloud over my ‘hood and I’m able to grow from out of that. I lost three of the closest people to me in three months, two to prison, one to murder. Every concept on Black Rose is based on something I’ve done with those three people. It’s straight from the heart.”

    1. Nas is building a sizable and talented roster. Mass Appeal Records is starting to look more & more promising with each new signee. This more than makes up for the niggas he signed @ The Jones Experience and Ill Will Records, not that they didn’t possess talent, of course.

    2. Nas is one of the greatest artists and possibly the WORST at recognizing talent, nobody that he has signed will ever make noise in this industry. I predict if Nas isn’t on a song with them it gets no light at all!! Jay-Z is way better at identifying talent,Nas never would’ve signed Beanie Sigel I bet…SMH
