B.o.B Outlines His Blueprint For Success

B.o.B has been one of the south’s most notable rappers over the years and his catalog of hits proves he has a knack for making songs the masses enjoy.

Recently speaking with HipHopDX Editor-in-Chief Justin Hunte during Los Angeles Power 106’s PowerHouse concert, the Atlanta native explained the difference between successful people and those who just want to be famous.

“I’m not surprised at where my career is because I believe you can accomplish whatever you feel you can accomplish,” he said via a segment of today’s (June 11) DX Daily. “You got to have the energy for it first. A lot of people want to be famous but they don’t know why; being an artist or being famous but they don’t really know why.”

B.o.B also explained how he became successful citing that he had the energy and vision to do so.

“For me man, I knew what I wanted to do and I had the energy to do it so I’m not surprised at all and honestly I feel like I’m just getting started. I have yet to show my full potential.”

B.o.B recently spoke with DX about what he believes makes Atlanta such a successful place for rap superstars. The rapper known as Bobby Ray released his latest mixtapeNew Black in November of last year.

    1. Bob’s alter ego Fetty Wap was a genius way to keep himself relevant after his eye injury from a champagne bottle.

    2. don’t need advice from B.o.B especially since he only got popular off of a Hayley Williams feature…lol..his last album only sold 75,000 copies total..

    3. 1. Make shitty pop music
      2. Get shitty features on shitty pop music
      3. Take that shit to Ellen.

    4. I honestly hope he have yet to show his full potential, because it seems he’s wasting it instead for years. When dude came out I thought he could be the closest thing to Andre3k once he reach his prime, but I’m really starting to give up on him. He has every talent in the world to be an extremely successful crossover artist (and that’s probably what he’s trying to achieve), but aside from dropping a few solid verses every now and then, he totally went pop. At the same time, the overall quality of his music also started to drastically fall. Just take a look at his discography. His 1st album was a bit let-down but I still bumped a lot, Strange Clouds is around the furthest I can bear from him and Underground Luxury was a huge trainwreck. I’m not knocking his hustle but it saddens me that he chose to be a cheap radio artist for shallow success instead of trying to make his own way and trying to climb the top with his hardcore fans. Because make no mistake, as soon as you’re not hot pop fans won’t give a fuck about you, neither do Universal.

    5. whats the plan? show you can do it, then let everyone down with every song after? this dude is the definition of an underachiever.
