Drake Recalls Early Music Ambitions At Performance In Australia

With his album still dominating the charts back home, Drake capped off the first show of the Australian leg of his current tour with an emotional send-off last week.

“This is a night I’ll remember for the rest of my fucking life,” the Toronto emcee says in a video captured by a fan at the show.

“I grew up writing songs in my mom’s basement and going to whatever studio I could,” he adds. “Me and [a friend] we used to be in a band. We used to play together at a restaurant for like minus $500 a night and shit…I just wanna tell you, for me to be out in Sydney, Australia and see you guys come out of pocket, spend your money to come see me talk shit on stage. I go a lot places, I see a lot of faces, but this is a night that I’ll remember for the rest of my fucking life. Thank you.”

    1. The real rap god nor that old geezer f Eminem. In 2015 drake makes every rapper irrelevant.

      1. Listen kid its okay to like Drake but he doesn’t run shit. Your homeboy has no label, can’t sell out a real stadium and needs to line myself with big events to stay relevant. Your boys time is numbered.

    2. drake is a fraud and he sings about the same bullshit. No he doesn’t rap but he sings. fucking rnb artist
