DJ Mustard Reveals Beats He Wishes He Produced

DJ Mustard recently revealed a handful of beats he wishes he would have produced.

Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love” and “Summer” are among the tracks the producer wishes he produced. “I’m a big fan of Calvin Harris,” Mustard says in an interview with XXL. “I wish I produced ‘We Found Love’ with Rihanna. That song is just dope and it made a lot of money. Money isn’t really my motivation when I make beats. I already got money now. It’s more of a passion than a hobby for me now. At first, it was just like, ‘Let’s just make money.’ Now, when you get money, you get a house, take care of your people. It’s more so you want to learn more about more stuff. Now, I’m just really involved in learning and trying to build my path.”

Jeezy’s “Seen It All” is also on the list, a Jeezy and Jay Z collaboration produced by Cardo.

“Cardo is my dog,” he says. “I’m really happy that’s he is doing what he is doing now. He come from a long way. Me and Cardo, I’ve known him for a long time so for him to have that success is good. I want everybody around me to win, so I think that was dope. I’m sure having Jeezy and Jay on my beat will happen. You never know. They both gave each other a run for their money. They both did their thing, so it was dope.”

Other songs that round out Mustard’s list are Robin Thicke’s “Get Her Back” and Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River.”

DJ Mustard announced yesterday (July 22) that he is scheduled to release his debut album, 10 Summers

    1. You can tell he is not a real talented producer by the tracks he said lol compared to answers real producers have said when asked the same question like Kanye Just Blaze Rza etc smh
I think Kanye was the last real talented producer to make it, then came all these fruity loops laptop beat makers lol

      1. Kanye has stated that he used FL studio at one point…It’s not about how the beats are made, its the end result. Some of your favorite beats were produced with FL Studio.

      2. Ninth Wonder, one of the best beat makers over the past 10 years, up until recently used Fruity Loops. It’s not what you make the beat with, it’s knowing how to make a good beat. Fruity Loops has a sampler.

      1. ^ What kind of a fucking question is that? Premier, Dre, RZA, Havoc, Dilla, Pete Rock, Kanye, etc, have all made timeless beats. Maybe these new producers should study them more and get inspired to make beats that will still be played 10+ years from now, instead of making cheap, flavor of the month beats.

    2. he gotta be jealous over dat new lil boosie beat “rich off lean” that bass is so low nearly blew my subs. beat banging lyrics on point. with some lean, a whole buncha lean.

    3. Another pointless article by Andres Tardio, a journalist with no writing skillz who copy and paste articles from other sites.

Thanks for this info about DJ KETCHUP.

    4. He wishes he could make other people’s beats. Too bad 99% of his beats consists of hand clap/snap snares, bass lines and “Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!” chants.

    5. Start working at home with Google! Its by-far the best job Ive had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this – 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail,,,,,,,

    7. Everyone hating on the producers of this generation, but I’d definitely say Alchemist and Harry Fraud could be one of those timeless beat makers

      1. ALC already is. Al is legend y’all stop sleeping on him… Harry fraud tho? Nah. He got good beats but as Anonymous#1 said, it’s because lot of todays producers are trash.

    8. Start working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life.

      This is what I do>>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://WWW.DOLLARTRIBUNE.COM
