When about about the track and video, Shabaam Sahdeeq stated:
“Get It” is an inspirational track about getting what you need for you and your family to live right. But in the process, some of us get desperate and make bad choices.”
I Shot the video when I was on tour in Amsterdam back in 2012. The director, Edward Jansen (for Lucky Films) added the family, and robbery heist in post. When I saw the final cut, it just fit because I went to prison for a three and a half year bid back in 2002 for something similar. Not something I’m proud of, but it’s interesting how the video unintentionally captured a moment where art imitates life.
