I guess Drake is broke, as is Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Common, Ice Cube. By Busta's weight gain, he doesn't seem to be missing any meals.

Thank you Justin Hunte 1.0. You are now done here. You must move on to another comment section within a different website to obliterate those who bring up basic points. God bless you on your journey. Thank you. God bless.

This is why rappers like French need to be barred from the HIP HOP arena. Dudes like him don't put effort into their cahey make excuses like this one. Is Jay, Nas, Kanye, Tech 9, Eminem, Busta, Kendrick, Jada etc. broke?

There's really nothing you can challenge here, guys. Frenchie kinda has a point. The only reason Nas is a spokesman for Cognac is because Kelis is sucking him dry (alimony, spousal support, child support, you name it).Old Dirty Bastard had like 13 kids, and when he died, he left everybody high and dry. He had no money whatsoever. All the royalties, the residuals, etc, pretty much got snorted up his nose. And let's not forget our dear friend, Cassidy, who's supposedly a battle rapping legend still living in the hood. Niggas say he's eating, but it looks to me like he's eating Beanie Weenies for breakfast, lunch, and fucking dinner. You would think he'd be living somewhere MUCH nicer after the Trojan Condom company broke him off $2 million for "Condom Style", but I guess he either hid that under his piss stained mattress or he mistook it all for lettuce and ate it all because the brother looks like a blimp, and that's putting it mildly.

Sounds like DX needs to do a mini doc on Broke rappers. You just provided a detailed outline, French Vanilla. You do the same thing with just regular people who bought a bunch of houses before and couldn't flip 'em before the world economy crashed. There's a ton of non artists who went broke by living life on the wrong margins, too. Thank you for the comment, French Vanilla.

Damn. That's a long ass sentence. Thank you for the comment and for checking the piece, kevin smith. I hope French is smarter than we think with his money. You can never tell, truly, but the fact that he built his brand and reputation off of selling DVDs in New York City leads me to think his hustler ambitions will keep his checking account (or cash stash) healthy enough to not be MC Hammer. I appreciate the comment, kevin.

NICKI MINAJ,KANYE WEST,LIL WAYNE,DRAKE,MACKLEMORE,ASAP ROCKY,BIG SEAN ARE LYRICAL RAPPERS?!???WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?!MY DEAD GRANDMA CAN WRITE 10 WORDS TO A BEAT AND REPEAT EACH WORD 10 TIMES AND THERE IT GOES A RAP SONG!...THATS HELLA WRONG LISTEN TO SOME AZ,EMINEM,PAC,MOBB DEEP,BIG L,BONE THUGS,DMX,GANG STARR,ICE CUBE,LOX,DPG,MASTA ACE,RAKIM,OLD SNOOP,WARREN G,XZIBIT AND LOT OTHERS FROM WHICH YOU CAN LEARN SOMETHING BUT ALSO PARTY!! THE INDUSTRY WANTS TO MAKE LOWEST IQ IDIOTS FROM NEW GENERATIONS BY PROMOTING THESE NOWADAYS ''RAPPERS'' AND PUTTING DOWN THE REAL LYRICAL MC'S!!

I define lyricism as what's said but also how it's said. Dexterity. Style. Flow. Alliteration. Etc. It's impossible for me to listen to any of Nicki's mixtapes or her first album, 5 of 7 Kanye albums, Tha Carter II and all surrounding mixtapes, most of Macklemore's 12 year career, A$AP's "LVL" or "Suddenly" or the fact that he's super inspired by Bone thugs, or almost any track Big Sean touches without thinking lyricists. In a lot of ways, they are the modern era off spring of the Golden Era rappers you mentioned. Thank you for the comment, RealRap. Sincerely.
