Macklemore and Ryan Lewis discuss their success and Grammy performance with Ellen.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis visited “The Ellen Show” after their big 4x Grammy win. Ellen discussed with the duo their first visit on her show and their single Same Love, which they performed live at the Grammys. Macklemore talks about how their visit on Ellen was almost a year ago to the date, as well as their first televised performance. Macklemore joked with Ellen saying, “I was just thinking I was rapping really good and everyone liked the verse,” discussing the 33 couples that got married during their Grammy performance, Ryan Lewis’ sister being one of the couples.     It's funny. There were countless times when fanboys have vociferated the necessity of an independent artist, who does not rap merely about drugs and sex, to sprout beneath the cores of hip-hop and arouse the mainstream. Now that we finally have exactly that, there is endless bitching about how that artist isn't truly hip-hop based on the pigment of his skin color, and then accusing every single white rapper to be a racist when in actuality, it is them commiting such crime. Hip-hop fanboys are hypocritical.

      plenty of people say eminem is real hip hop (his early work especially) so it must not be skin color. it must be the fact that the heist is watered down garbage for the masses of white hipster folk

      how is hiphop all white just because a white guy won some awards won year. he will be the first to tell you it isnt. dude made a song called white privilege he's definitely not acting like they started anything you moron. he said himself they wouldnt have as successful if they were black.
