Pioneering nerdcore rapper mc chris is back with a Freddy Krueger-themed album, mc chris is dreaming, which is scheduled for a September 30 release date. Ahead of the release, the Illinois native has shared the first single from the record, “Sad Sack,” a song influenced by his better half.
“‘Sad Sack’ off my new album, mc chris is dreaming, was inspired by my wife who said she missed me talking about sex in songs,” mc chris tells DX. “Given the go ahead, this is about as sexy as I get these days. It’s a song about reaching climax while unconscious.”
As strange as that may sound, he does it in a way that still demands a laugh, something he’s been doing since he dropped his debut album, Life’s A Bitch And I’m Her Pimp, in 2001.
