Machine Gun Kelly has always been open with his emotions, and on his new Trippie Redd collaboration “Lost Boys,” he wrestles with suicidal thoughts.

On the somber song, which is the first single from the pair’s upcoming joint project genre: sadboy, the Cleveland native details his struggles with depression.

He sings: “Bloodshot, blue eyes, I recorded two tonight/ One is for all those I love, this one’s for the suicide/ Everything is blue inside, everyone at you and I/ People won’t say how they feel about you until you die.”

Elsewhere on the song, he alludes to heartbreak, possibly referencing his high-profile relationship with Megan Fox.

“I’m rich and still savage/ I’m rich and I’m unhappy/ I wish I was back in the days when I had a shitty shirt with my hat backwards/ Now I’m alone in a vamp castle, I’m telling myself it’s the last capsule/ But why would I even wanna be alive to see her with someone at Art Basel? So I…” he raps.

It was just a week ago that Megan Fox revealed that she had called off her engagement to MGK, though it doesn’t seem like the pair have called it quits entirely.

The Sam Cahill-directed video takes fans inside studio sessions as the Ohio natives craft the project, giving insight into their off-the-dome creative process.

Additional behind-the-scenes footage includes a music video shoot, a ride on a private jet, rapping a Lil Wayne verse together, and copious amounts of weed smoking.
