Keke Palmer‘s ex, Darius Jackson, has responded to Palmer’s claims of physical abuse by arguing that it’s really the reverse. In a new legal filing, the former college football player cited a history of alleged abuse by the Nope star.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Darius Jackson, who shares a son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, with the actress-singer, has accused the performer of regular abuse.

Per the motion filed on Friday (December 15) Jackson alleges he was physically assaulted by Palmer on multiple occasions. The accusations include including “violently” gripping his arm, punching him in the face at a birthday party, and more.

In addition to physical abuse, Jackson claims he suffered verbal and emotional abuse — Palmer regularly calling him a “loser,” “punk,” and “bitch,” among other demeaning names.

In an attempt to solidify his claims, Jackson recalled an instance where Palmer, 30, called him upwards of 200 times in addition to sending 50 emails after the pair argued over him not wanting to spend the night. In a series of text messages shared by Jackson, Palmer admitted she felt “ashamed” for her actions.

“I’m sorry for hitting you,” Palmer allegedly wrote. “I’m sorry for being afraid to lose you and that turning into me acting out of fear and desperation. That was not the best me that you received and I’m sorry for that.”

In a follow-up message, the Nope star seemingly advised him to pray about the situation. “I am mad at the situation, I’m mad at myself … I’m deeply affected and afraid because it’s such a deep heaviness that I don’t want to feel anymore. It’s not your fault nor your job to alleviate it from me,” she also added, per the outlet. “I honestly need you to pray on it.”

Further, Jackson is requesting that Palmer’s restraining order against him be dropped.

The news comes shortly after Palmer filed a restraining order as well as a motion for custody of their son, Leodis, claiming physical and emotional abuse.

In Palmer’s petition to the court for a restraining order, she detailed multiple instances of alleged domestic abuse at the hands of Jackson — all of which she said were captured by her security cameras.

Palmer detailed an incident from 2022 where she alleges: “In the bedroom, he slammed me on the floor and slapped my head from side to side.

“The next morning, he was standing at the bottom of the stairs near the front door, screaming at me as I was coming down the stairs. When I was almost at the bottom of the stairs, he grabbed me around the neck and body slammed me back onto the stairs.”

A court hearing was initially set for December 5, 2023. However, the estranged couple have since decided to take their domestic issues to arbitration, rather than to court. In the meantime, Palmer has been awarded temporary sole custody of their son.
