After recently announcing his intention to release two albums this year [click to read], 50 Cent is hitting the big screen again. This time he is not toting guns on the streets of New York, but instead playing a CIA Agent.

After filming for Sylvester Stallone’s movie “The Expendables” was pushed back, Forest Whitaker had to drop out of the cast due to a schedule conflict, and 50 Cent [click to read] stepped in to replace him.

50 plays CIA liaison Agent Will Sands alongside a veteran action cast which includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film revolves around a group of mercenaries dubbed “The Expendables” who travel to South America with the intent of assassinating a tyrannical dictator.

Production and filming for “The Expendables” has already began in Brazil and Louisiana, and the film is tentatively scheduled to be released in 2010.

In related news, 50 will join the emo Rock band Fall Out Boy on their upcoming Believers Never Die Part Deux Tour. The tour kicks off in Dallas, Texas on April 14. While he won’t be able to make all the dates on the tour, the dates for all of 50’s performances will be announced shortly via friendsorenemies.com.
