After an 11-year absence, Compton gangsta rap vet MC Eiht returned to the scene with the critically acclaimed Which Way Iz Westlast June. Executive produced by DJ Premier, the LP was named one of HipHopDX’s Most Slept-On Rap Albums in 2017. Now, the OG has announced his next project is on the way.

Titled Keep It Hood Part 2, the EP serves as the follow-up to 2006’s Keep It Hood Part 1. 

“It was inspired while working on Which Way Iz West II,” Eiht tells DX. “I’m just trying to keep fans intrigued with simplicity in my music. I want to capture that feel good time of neighborhood influenced struggle. It was a good day kind of shit [laughs].”

Eiht confirmed Which Way Iz West IIis expected to arrive in August. The original version featured guest spots from The Lady Of Rage, Kurupt, WC, Xzibit, Compton’s Most Wanted and B-Real, among others.
