Seattle, WA

It’s been three years since Grieves released his Winter & The Wolvesalbum, which peaked at #57 on the Billboard 200. The Rhymesayers artist has officially returned with the announcement of his new LP, Running Wild.

The Seattle rapper unveiled the cover art and tracklist for the album as well. It includes 16 tracks with guest appearances from Romaro Franceswa and Dyme Def’s Fearce Vill. Lead single “RX” takes a stab a subject ever present in the MC’s life — mental illness.

“This song is about my battle with anxiety and panic attacks,” Grieves said in a press release. “To me it almost sounds like drowning. The verses have this tension and by the time the chorus hits, you feel at peace and underwater. It breaks a lot of boundaries for me artistically. It’s big, it’s modern, it’s dark, it’s vulnerable, and it’s real.”

Check out the cover art and tracklist for Grieves’ new album below, and listen to”RX” above. Pre-orders for Running Wild are available here ahead of its August 25 release.
