Out of the ashes of Das Racist,Swet Shop Boys emerged with more debaucherous lyrics and knee-slapping beats in 2014 with the Swet Shop EP.Along with producer Redinho,MCs Heems (formerly of Das Racist) and Riz MC (a buzzing actor and cover model for TIME’s Most Influential People Of 2017 list) followed up with 2016’s Cashmere, which served as the trio’s official debut studio album. The group has now resurfaced with their third project, Sufi La.

Comprised of six new tracks, the album is heavily influenced by their Indian and Pakistani backgrounds, adding an eclectic layer to the intriguing production. Coupled with Heems’ often nonsensical yet humorous lyrics and Riz MC’s rich tales, Sufi La is an interesting ride to say the least. Album highlights include the title track and “Thas My Girl.”
