A judge in the Surrogate Court has given control over ODB

Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s mother, Cherry Jones, is not happy with the decision the Surrogate Court came up with for the estate of the late rapper. A judge granted control of ODB’s estate to his widow as the two still battle over the deceased rapper’s assets.

Icelene Jones, mother to three of ODB’s children, was reportedly estranged from ODB for years since their 19-year marriage, sources told the New York Daily News.

"Since Icelene now has the authority ... we hope that they will come forward to reveal his assets. We are about to commence a discovery proceeding," Icelene's lawyer, Darryl Nicholas, told the New York Daily News.

ODB’s mother, on the other hand, was allegedly concerned that his other children would be neglected, according to the Daily News. It has been no secret that Cherry has been trying to gain control of the estate since the late Russell Jones departure.

“She's [Cherry] the one he [ODB] lived with for 12 years when he was estranged from Icelene,” said Cherry’s partner, Jarred Weisfeld. “She's the one who made sure he ate. She took care of him."

We are still waiting for the results of the late rapper’s autopsy, which will reveal the cause of his death.
