2007's Hate It or Love It album was the last major label album released by Chingy and in April of this year, the rapper claimed his rumored relationship with model Sidney Starr cost him future opportunities with a major.
Recently, Vlad TV sat down with the accused transgender model and confronted her with questions about the two's relationship.
"I'm not going to say anything bad about Chingy, I wish him the best in his life," she said when asked about how their rumored relationship affected Chingy's musical career. "I made an apology video on WorldStarHipHop letting him know how apologetic I was about all of it but I will admit that I don't agree with my situation and what happened with us and him losing his deal. I don't agree with it being because of me. I honestly feel like there was more things before my situation came about anyway. I wasn't the only person that kind of like said stuff... I will admit if it was [because of me] I'm sorry and if I could walk into Chingy's face right now, I would let him know, 'Look bro, I am so sorry that this happened.'"
Starr also said that if she could have re-done the whole situation, she would have.
"If I could have changed the hands of time, I would have never did that shit," she said. "I would have [said], 'Hold up, I ain't [about to] do this shit, no you do it and I'm just going to not say nothing and deny it.' I was definitely not in the right mindset at that time in my life. I was just all about trying to get where I wanted to be and to get famous and it backfired."
Last month, Chingy claimed that his rumored relationship with the model cost him a record deal but forgave Starr after she publicly confessed to lying about her relationship with the St. Louis, Missouri rapper. Chingy mostly blamed the public for wanting the story of their relationship to be true.
“It goes to show you how many people wanted it to be true,” Chingy said. "That’s what it goes to show you. It goes to show you that that person who nobody knew had that much power to come out and say one negative thing about me and a whole mass of people just instantly took to it. And they didn’t have not one piece of evidence."
