Slaughterhouse Joins 2013 BET Awards Cypher

Joe Budden takes to social media to confirm that he and Slaughterhouse will be a part of the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher.

It's been confirmed, Hip Hop super group Slaughterhouse will once again partake in a BET Hip Hop Awards cypher.

Taking to Instagram Friday, group member Joe Budden posted a pic of three of Slaughterhouse's members with DJ Premier, the cypher DJ, and captioned "It's that time again.....#Cypher."

The 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards will be aired on October 15. 2011 was the last time Slaughterhouse participated in a BET Awards cypher. That cypher became a Shady grouping which included Eminem, Yelawolf and the aforementioned rap quartet.

The BET network recently confirmed that Hip Hop superstar and media mogul Snoop Dogg will host the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Last year's edition featured a Chris Lighty tribute, Fat Joe and 50 Cent appearing together for the first time since their early 2000s beef, and a notable altercation in the awards parking lot between members of G-Unit and Maybach Music Group.

I agree their album was a flop, but the mix-tape they released before the album "On the House" wasn't bad at all in fact if they had just released that as their album people wouldn't have complained. If you have not heard Truth or Truth from Slaughterhouse then I would advise you too check it out, great stuff.Excited too see what they do at the BET awards, they still don't get enough credit.

Sorry but these dudes were better off in the underground. Underground rappers are underground for a reason. You can't force them to be mainstream, no matter what name they're attached to. I like both underground and mainstream, and care about the beat just as much as the lyrics. Sorry, but I don't want to hear "lyrical" shit over wack beats, and I don't want to hear dope beats with shitty vocals/lyrics. Back to my last point, you can throw the fanciest designer shit on Slaughterhouse, give them the Eminem co-sign, hype the shit up but at the end of the day the music will speak for itself, that's why their own fans called them out when they tried to sell out and still failed.

Their last cypher was the highlight of their career. They won't see that much attention again. Their last album was forgotten around a month after the release because their chemistry sucks and they don't make records with replay value. It's too bad that Eminem had to use his formula for the success of Recovery and try to force it on Slaughterhouse. Pop beats from Alex Da Kid and Boi-1da and pop features like Ceelo and Skylar Grey. They should have had more production from AraabMuzik, and some production from Dr. Dre and The Alchemist. Shit, I'd even like to hear them over some Scott Storch instrumentals. They flopped, and Jimmy probly won't let them release another album any time soon (especially if 50 can't get a release date) but I don't think anyone is checking for Slaughterhouse. I know I'm not, and I used to be somewhat of a fan. Unfortunately, at the end of the day they are just 4 old ass emcees who joined together because they never made it solo.

      * plays 'Move On'-Slaughterhouse * * laughs out loud at HiiPower * Basically, you're saying Eminem fvcked up their album. "Their last cypher was the highlight of their career. They won't see that much attention again." ^ this is where you committed suicide because you typed that on an announcement article of them doing it again.

i will admit i didint listen to the album yet even though i downloaded it. them singles i heard were all so bad i dont even wanna extract that .rar file

    • Fossie

You are a fuckin hater !!I really believe you didnt listen to the album !

    • Rap Fan

You all can hate what HiiiPower is saying but he is speaking the truth. As a group that cypher was the best thing they did as a group. Individually they never had the success of a top mainstream rapper and that is why they joined together as a group. I use to be a fan of Royce but that was over 10 years ago. They just do not have that mainstream appeal and their singles from the last CD didn't fit their style of the past. Also, to the dumbass who said it would happen to Black Hippy doesn't understand that hey have Kendrick who is a mainstream rapper. Also, every group had a top guy with the rest hanging on for success. Did you forget 50 and G-Unit? What about Nelly and the St.Lunatics? T.I with Alphamega and Dro? Sometimes, the tag-along guys do surpass the first rapper but its rare.

complete agree with the disappointment of WTOH. no replay value, way too mainstream, their biggest flop BUT their first LP and their EP deserve some credit. that was them in their element. they were brilliant and i'm not just being biased because i'm a huge fan. also, how can you discredit their solo shit? crooked had hip hop weekly, joey had mood muzik along with padded room etc. (NLL was a disaster tho) Royce had death is certain, bar exams, and joell is a dope spitter.. their new album has Just Blaze, Araab, Justice League.... it'll make up for WTOH.. don't write these guys off just yet...maybe this cypher will make the old fans say "I told you so" and get some new fans sayin "that's dope"

    • DUMBASS
