UPDATE #2: Beyonce and HBO have teamed up for an intimate look into the singer's life.

Beyonce and HBO have announced plans for the singer to star in and direct a documentary about her life, debuting on the cable network on February 16, 2013.

According to a post on her Facebook page, the film is a "fusion of video that provides raw, unprecedented access to the private entertainment icon and high-voltage performances." It includes first-person footage, some of which was shot by Beyonce on her laptop, where she "reflects on the realities of celebrity, the refuge she finds onstage and the transcendent joy of becoming a mother last year."

"Everybody knows Beyoncé’s music, but few know Beyoncé the person,” said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming. “Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman."

I am not a fan, never have been and never will be. I do not understand the purpose of this documentary especially when a Documentary Film is "intended to document some aspect of reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction or maintaining a historical record". Exactly what is the "Instruction" your giving. The only thing I see is that you are basically documenting to prove whomever wrong that you indeed were with child, miscarried, and then gave birth again (everyday women go thru that all the time, I guess your name alone makes it more important). Other than that the purpose of this documentary was basically for sole promotion since we are embarking on an international tour just to keep yourself relevant amidst the Rihanna's out here. Women have been empowered by the likes of Harriet, Tina, Angela, Maya, etc. They had a purpose for there existence of empowering the people and women but yours is for the sole purpose of public financial gain. Exactly how are you empowering the women of today with contradictory actions. Supporting US fitness but signing on the $50 million dotted line for Pepsi. In the end you are not a regular human being like everyone else, you can afford to make problems go away. Your average run of the mill person can NOT. On a positive note, IMO, the realest moment that could sum up the whole documentary to make a long story short and what appeared to be 1 of your realest moments for your life where you are not performing/acting/portraying (because that is what you were bred to do); Is when you are holding your daughter in your arms. And that right there sums up everything that is even real for you and your career IMO.

Purist while I agree with some of your statements I don't understand why you would say you're not a fan but still sit through the entire hour and half show. Maybe it's part of your job. I dunno. If I don't like someone I'm not going to watch and entire HBO special about them. That's just me.

Can't she and Joe Camel just get lost already. We all know bunch of retarded horny teenagers listen to both of them. Ya clowns don't have fan base on the streets so tell your sugar daddy Jay to stop acting like Al Capone or something.

    • Agree

I agree with the original poster. I don't like fake people and Jay is NOT hov and Bey is NOT a diva. She changes personality to match her outfit. You can't dress and act slutty 1 day and then change in a lady dress and act like a lady. Just FAKE

I think Beyonce is a terrible human being, a sellout, a fraud and a devil worshiper but if she sleeps with me I'll be willing to change my mind about her. Since she's already here with me now I guess what I'm trying to say is don't expect me to feel the same way about her tomorrow morning.

  • Nuff said...

jay z brought himself to the top, not rick rubin... same goes for Didd

    • archiepolakbook

Look who her bosses are. Rick Rubin is who made Jay Z what he is today. Rick a Jew, sure, but it isn't like he looks oriental or anything. He aint a viking, but he sure as heck aint oriental either. Than again can't blame this chick. I remember when Death Row had to bleep out the word "jew" in some 2pac song where Method Man was on too.

I cant wait to see what Beyonce is like as a mother and as a person off stage and behind the scenes. She really is a wonder woman, she has a ton of things going on so it will be interesting to see how she manages everything. My DISH coworker first told me about this documentary so I wont be missing it. Im going to record it on my DISH Hopper, so that Ill be able to watch the play back of the recording on multiple TVs, this will save me a ton of time. Ill be able to start watching on my living room TV and then continue watching on my kitchen TV right where I left off.

You do know that most entertainers dont actually raise their kids? They have tons of nannys and caretakers. A person of her status wont have the time to really raise and take her of her daughter. She'll be forced to take her daughter with her everyday if she wants to see her but most celebritiy kids are raised by nannys, family members and caretakers.
