DJ Premier to Contribute to "L.A. Noire" Remix EP

Premo joins a host of producers to remix the soundtrack to Rockstar's latest game "L.A. Noire."

Ever since Rockstar Games enlisted Sean Price and Royce Da 5'9" for the soundtrack to 2003's smash game Grand Theft Auto III. Now, the game publishers are deepening their relationship with the genre with a new remix project featuring DJ Premier, Ticklah and others in promotion for their latest game L.A. Noire.

Due out this May 17, the L.A. Noire Remixed EP will feature six different producers remixing 1930's and '40s artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Jordan, Dinah Washington, Gene Krupa and Lionel Hampton. The list of guest producers includes DJ Premier, TV on the Radio's David Andrew Sitek, dub artist and member of Sharon and the Dap-Kings' Ticklah, Aloe Blacc producer Truth and Soul, Moodyman and Midnight Sun. 

This latest release marks the third installment of the Verve Remixed Series. The full track list can be down below.

    Whoever handles the music selection for Rockstar's games deserves a medal. Since GTA 3, their hip-hop selection has been amazing. Seems they know what classic hip-hop truly is.

      For GTA4? Not IMO. Group Home and Talib were the only shits I really fucked with. San Andreas was the real highlight although it was just 90s west coast shit. Still classics.
