EarthGang have unveiled a new project that is right around the corner, and its theme is bound to attract more than just fans of Hip Hop.

On Monday (February 5), the Dreamville duo announced that Robophobia will drop on February 23. Based on an animated trailer from the group, it seems like the sci-fi undertaking will explore virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

Two days later, they shared its album cover with the caption: “ROBOPHOBIA | FEB 23, 2024 | PART 2 #EarthGangVsTheAlgo.” As of now, it is unclear if the album will be split in two parts or the cover art was just the second part of their rollout.

According to a statement posted on the pair’s social media on Monday (February 12), “Robophobia is a sonic dive into a new terrain for EarthGang as they explore new soundscapes and topics on imperfections, connections and projections within humanity’s relationship with each other and AI.”

Below the note, the Atlanta MCs also listed a phone number “FOR MORE INFO.” Upon calling it, a robotic voice can be heard saying: “Hello. Don’t be afraid. I’ve come to help. We’ve all come to help. We’re just like you.”

Earlier this week, on Valentine’s Day, the rappers once again teased the upcoming record with the phone number mentioned above.

In a brief clip shared to social media, the soothing voice of a female robot named Robecky plugged a call-in service for those who didn’t have companionship while others were out celebrating love, priced at $3.99 per minute.
