Fat Joe has controversially compared Chris Brown to 2Pac following the singer’s scathing attack on Quavo on “Weakest Link.”

Discussing the beef between the two on Instagram Live on Thursday (April 25), Joe said: “Of course, the 2Pac of 2024 has to be Chris Brown. Chris Brown is considered an alien. If you playing basketball, he’ll bust your ass. If you sing against him, he sing better, he dance better. If he gotta rap, he raps.

Chris Brown and Quavo’s long-simmering rivalry has reignited in recent weeks, seemingly over past relationships with ex-girlfriends Saweetie and Karrueche Tran.

Breezy fired the first shot on the Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas and Tee Grizzley-assisted “Freak,” rapping: “Okay, now fuckin’ my old bitches ain’t gon’ make us equal/ Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo (Quavo)/ Freak bitch, she like Casamigos, not the Migos.”

The former Migos rapper hit back on “Tender,” which found him bringing up the singer’s history of domestic violence and alleged drug problems, while also taunting him over his rumored fling with Karrueche.

That prompted Brown to unleash “Weakest Link,” which contained the bombshell claim that he slept with Saweetie while she was still dating Quavo: “You fucked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no fuck, lil n-gga/ ‘Cause I fucked yo’ ex when you were still with her, bitch, I’m up, lil n-gga.”

The blistering track also namedropped Quavo’s late nephew and Migos groupmate TakeOff: “R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect/ Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead.”

Quavo quickly responded with “Over Hoes & Bitches” where he referenced Brown’s infamous 2009 assault of Rihanna: “Little bitch come battle with my drac/ You been fucked your bag up when you punched Rih in the face.”

He also mocked the R&B star over his 2013 fight with Frank Ocean and the 2015 robbery of his San Fernando Valley home“It ain’t nun’ but a fade, you know you lost to Frank/ N-ggas ran in your house, tied up your aunt ’cause you ain’t pay.”

Quavo later appeared to threaten Breezy for mentioning TakeOff: “This bullet got your name/ Don’t ever bring up Take, pussy.”
