DDG had some words for a podcast host who called his girlfriend Halle Bailey ugly.
On Monday (March 4), conservative podcaster Elijah Schaffer hopped on Twitter/X to share a photo of the singer and compared her to E.T.

“When exactly did Hollywood become flooded with ugly people?” he asked, following it up with a photo of E.T. and adding, “The new Lil Mermaid actress.”
In a since-deleted response, DDG shared a photo of Schaffer and his late mother and wrote, “I’m smokin on yo dead ass mama [laughing emojis] that dumb bitch should’ve got a better doctor LMFAO @ElijahSchaffer”

In a follow-up that was also deleted, he shared a photo of a photoshopped blunt with Schaffer’s mother in it and wrote, “Ngl this shit gas.”
Schaffer has since deleted his posts as well, though his replies saying it wasn’t racism but rather just “calling it like it is” are still up.

DDG and Halle Bailey welcomed their son Halo in 2023, but publicly confirmed his birth with a post to Instagram in January of this year. Shortly after, DDG applauded his singer girlfriend for taking to motherhood so naturally.
“I wouldn’t have chose no other person in the world to have a child with,” he said. “We learning. She’s a great mom. It’s crazy, she’s amazing.”

The Michigan native also admitted that he couldn’t resist watching the birth of the baby.
“I seen him come out. I watched the whole thing,” he said. “I was honestly scared ’cause I was like, ‘Man, I don’t really want to see this.’
“But I’m like, ‘Damn, at the same time, I don’t plan on having a million kids … I’m probably not gon’ see this again.’
“So I went down there and I looked, and it was the craziest shit I ever seen in my life, bro.”
