Boosie Badazz‘s official Instagram account has been shut down for a few years now, and earlier this week the rapper pleaded with Mark Zuckerberg to lift the account’s ban.

Boosie was most recently banned from the app in 2021, with CEO Adam Mosseri telling The Breakfast Club in an interview at the time that the “Wipe Me Down” rapper had violated the app’s “nudity policy.”

While Boosie had initially attacked both Mosseri and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg for his numerous bans over the years, it seems the rapper has decided to play ball this time around and pleaded with both of them to let him back online.

“@zuck n ADAM can I get my officialboosieig Page back?” he wrote on Twitter. “I’ve been doing good n AINT been n no BS on ig. CAN U PUT ME BACK UP ? I’m tryin to get my motion back.”

Getting Zuck to approve of Boosie’s return may be a long shot considering the number of times he’s been cut off of IG. The Baton Rouge rapper previously targeted Zuckerberg after he was banned for a behind-the-scenes video that showed him slapping a man who disrespected him.

The video, which was a consensual preplanned stunt that ended with the man being gifted $554 dollars, not only resulted in the video being banned but Boosie’s account being suspended entirely. The rapper then accused Zuckerberg of being racist on Twitter, but it made no difference.

He had also previously been banned after going on an anti-gay rant that stemmed from his thoughts on DaBaby being kicked off several festivals after he made homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami in 2021.

While Boosie eventually walked back his “racist” claims against the Meta leader, he at one point even challenged him to a boxing match to settle their differences.

“I got in my feelings,” Boosie said to VladTV at the time. “I don’t know if he’s racist or not I’m telling the truth, but I wanted to take it there. I want to set up a Triller. Boosie versus Zuckerberg. Celebrity boxing match. They just showing me there’s level to shit. People can really put you in your place when you don’t own shit or you don’t have no rights to shit.”

He continued: “I reached out to Puffy. I called Puffy personally. ‘Puffy!  Set up Instagram, man. Let me run that bitch. Call all the billionaires. Call Dre, everybody!’ I told Puffy call Jigga. Just like they entertaining, ain’t nobody entertaining like this Black community. We got crazy people that do the most crazy shit … I got people working on apps right now trying to get me my own social media. I’m working.”

However, while Boosie appears desperate to get his Instagram back, the app hasn’t always worked in his favor either.

Back in June, Boosie was being held on multiple gun charges, including “felony possession of a firearm and transporting firearms across highways,” and federal court documents obtained by TMZ reportedly show the rapper earned himself that indictment due to some ill-advised Instagram Live posts that showed him with a firearm.

In the posts, Boosie Badazz can be seen tucking a gun into the waistband of his jeans. The posts were essentially what got Boosie in trouble as Federal law prohibits convicted felons from carrying and/or owning guns.

Right after his federal arrest, Boosie’s team issued a statement to XXL. “Boosie asks for prayers as he deals with this unfortunate circumstance in his life. He hopes that he can rejoin his family soon and knows that God got him.”

He added an apology for his actions on Twitter: “I wanna take this time to apologize to my kids. I’m sorry and I love y’all forever.” He has since been released on bond.
