    1. Probably the dumbest album ever. It was nice that King HOV threw Nas a bone, a collab with a famous pop star, probably the only time Nas ever made any money.

      1. Hmmm, let’s see – received generally positive reviews from most music critics, nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album (only losing to Graduation by Kanye West), debuted at number one, went platinum, production from Kanye, L.E.S., Salaam Remi, Scott Storch, will.I.Am and the mighty D.R.E. and the list goes on…

I’d say it was a pretty dope album – and so would many unbiased fans.

What was Jay Z doing that year? Oh, he just dropped what he himself called his worst album ever – Kingdom Come. (Thought it was an ok album though). All in all – no need to hate on Esco. He’s the more consistent rapper. Jay is the better businessman. It is what it is.

        1. You’re being kind. BP2 was way worse than Kingdom Come. And guy above is correct: Jay-Z is a pop star and his content validates that label.

    2. Shout out to the GOAT!! Hip hop is Dead along with Kayne’s album were some of the most pivotal albums in the mid 2000s. This lead to a resurgence of Hip hop I believe started in 2010.. Be the change y’all
