      1. Its a shame that they put Weezy’s lame ass on this for sales, he doesnt fit this project at all. Should be dope regardless.

      2. i know Damian got it out of him. wayne is wack but he will have a decent verse. hes known to tarnish albums when hes featured but this one will be ok.

      3. The album comes out May 18, 2010 and no Wayne was not added for sales if you seen the EPK for this Wayne is featured on the song generation which Wayne plays a huge part in this generation of hip hop and Nas’ team said Wayne sounds great on this record!

      4. i think i read comment like “putting Wayne on this album is like pissing in a bottle of fine wine” lol, that was my initial reaction. but…

im not a Wayne fan but if “My Generation (featuring Lil Wayne)” gets some ignorant fools to listen to this album then it’s ok with me. and Wayne must know he has to step his game up for this. we’ll see

    4. This album is going to be a masterpiece. I love the concept of it. It’s good to hear a positive vibe.

    5. This album has already succeeded. The work that was put in, the time they took, and most importantly it’s purpose, has made this one of the most important and necessary albums in history…and it hasn’t even been released yet.

    6. newest rap songs on a DAILY basis, check em out, listen to them, and download them free at mp3takeout . com

    7. amazing little fact, that Africa actually produces enough food to feed the contentant three times fold, but yet, it can’t “afford” to feed its citizens. Absolute poverty is the name of the game over there. Sorry guys this year went to Haiti but the album is gonna be solid.

      1. yup. the system from the colonial days that forced Africa into economic dependency on outsiders (exporting their own resources, importing European) hasn’t changed much. Political independence doesn’t necessarily mean economic independence.

much of Africa is poor because they were bled for their raw material, and made dependent on goods manufactured in Europe.

example: Africa sold their raw materials, Europeans manufacture BMW’s with these materials and then sell them back to Africans. who do you think makes the money?

    8. Can’t wait for the album! It will be Epic!! I will buy two cd, one for the car and one for the house. Ya dig. =)

    9. tight video…this album might be a classic for real. so far the singles are good and also dropping jewels…..no if only i can get Nas in the studio with premier for an LP…

    10. I am not excited at all for this album..Nas needs to do what the hell his fans have been asking for..AZ, Primo, etc…He’s the master of doing what the fans never asked for….Big up to Damian Marley though…Just not feeling this collaboration…

      1. 1994 is 16 years ago…Nas has evolved as an artist and it is not always good to move backwards! You can move forward and still keep the message…Nas has successed at doing that! Premo is working with Christina Aguilera making pop beats and Nas is working with Damian Marley everyone is doing new, different and exciting things! I don’t see anyone complaining about Premo working with others but yet some/not all of Nas’ fans want him to keep the same old formula he has adapted and still keeps it ILLMATIC!

      2. I want Nas/AZ/ Premo too but Nas and AZ were tight in the 90s… people grow apart, thats life. Be happy yhey still get together every once and a while. It’s like a Snoop Dogg interview I saw where Snoop got pissed at the interviewer cuz her first question about his album was is Dre on it. He’s like “I don’t need Dr. Dre! this is a Snoop album, all you should expect is Snoop”

Anyway I’m pretty sure the rumor is that Nas next solo album is exec produced by Q Tip so he is takin it back…

HipHopIsDead, Untitled, Distant Relatives, and then a Q Tip album is nothing to complain about

    11. DID YOU HEAR THA FUCKIN LYRICS NAS SPIT TO THAT LAST TRACK PLAYIN? THAT NIGGA IS REDICULOUS WIT THA LYRICS. GREATEST OF ALL TIMES…HANDS DOWN.

      CAN’T WAIT FOR THA ALBUM.

    12. Damn I dont even listen to Nas like that but, I got a feeling that Distant Relatives is gonna be a classic.

    13. I can’t wait for the ALBUM to drop. It sounds like a classic and people need to pay attention cause this is what hiphop needs. (Peace my People)

    14. All i am going to say… is that I have high hopes for this album, we need something real and with dope artists like Nas and Damein, they could potentially get some mainstream shine. Not to say that is important, the sales and all, but the exposure to a good message is what we need.
