I get it! I think I do. lol. The “are you a different animal but the same beast” line means, IMO, that before you are a part of a species that you have become the king of. Being a different animal means that you’ve evolved into a more superior species, yet you still inherit the same beast-like mentality that you had before so that you don’t become complacent or comfortable. That’s the reasoning of all these successful people in their respected fields are attending this kobe system seminar, to become something more than the best in their domain but to be the best, period.
