Does K.Dot believe African Americans, Latinos & Native Americans are cursed? Who knows? However, that won’t stop DX from attempting to bring context to certain controversial statements made on one of the year’s biggest hip Hop albums.

    1. I’m not offended by the references, but let’s just not have double standards. One standard will do just fine. Right-wingers are not wrong when they point out that if you merely transpose the words “black” and “white” in conversations like this, you’d be immediately labeled a racist, lose all your endorsements and be banished from polite society.

I think Kendrick is a genius and I prefer to think of these references as part of a (mostly) fictional narrative that he portrays on his album. I understand how and why marginalized groups buy into religious concepts like this. As a narrative device, as an echo of thing’s that Kendrick heard growing up, it works to express a way in which a black Youth growing up surrounded by gang violence and broken families in Compton might contextualize his suffering.

Yet, it’s also true that any religious belief that views specific races as “devils” and certain other races as the “chosen children of God” is dangerous and almost the textbook definition of bigotry.

I’m quite sure Kendrick doesn’t literally believe this to be true. Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the man himself, I’ll view these references as narrative devices that serve to relate a feeling, an attempt by marginalized people to bolster their own self-worth amid violent chaos.

Kendrick’s the best rapper, but if we’re going to call conservatives racist for opposing immigration and stereotyping Muslims, we’ve got to hold black folks accountable for their words and actions as well.

      1. Nice try at intellectualising min truth but nope. Just about no convo would be the same. Black people can not be racist. Your whole whole “replace blacks with whites” argument take a whole lot of selective ignorance. Oh and fuck the black Hebrew Israelites too: black people were the original humans and were born in Africa. Period.

        1. Wow. Black people cannot be racist? LOL. We are the most racist people on the planet. Hands down. LOL. I am seriously dying of laughter at your ignorance.

    2. everybody here need to look up Big Head Scientists channel on Youtube. start by watching “The story of Yakub and Yashmal” to get a better understanding about the history of black people. after you watched it i expect to see a meaningful, intelligent discussion regarding the topic here.

      1. Right, because us black people are so civilized and treat each other and society with respect and decency. Moron.

      2. I swear if I hear any more of this militant pro-black shit… I’m all for equality and that’s exactly why I hate anti-white behaviour. Definitley on par with all that extreme feminism.

    3. First off, as a Hebrew Israelite…We all don’t have the same beliefs. Just as not all Christians have the same doctrine.

We don’t believe native Americans and Hispanics are Hebrews… Only the so called African-Americans and our brothers in the Caribbean that was on the slave ships as well.

We also don’t practice white hate. We focus on our own flaws and disobedience to YHWH.

We don’t wear purple ninja turtle outfits and yell at random people on the streets.

There are two known camps.. ISUPK and IUIC …They both teach half truth and bad doctrine. The guy speaking on Kendrick’s album is more likely an IUIC member.
There’s more but if you have any further specific questions about our beliefs… Let me know.

      1. You should know that it’s better to just support those who are brave enough to do THE work for God like IUIC
Isaiah 58:1 is the reason why you see Strong Men awakening the unlearned and completely ruined people. You can clown them but you’re the COWARDLY LION.

2 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV) For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

    4. black people are not in position to systematically oppress another race or stop that race from achieving prosperity. So no, black people cant be racist seeing as that is the true definition of racism.

      1. The definition of racism : prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior.

You don’t get to just make up definitions so you can hide your racism. Black people are in that position in many places like Hati and Africa. Even if your definition was real, then black people have still been racist many times in history, just like every other race.

    5. Why is it that everytime we as black people make comments about OURSELVES everyone else gets their panties in a bunch. Let US do US. You don’t have to believe what some of us choose to believe, but why does it make you feel some type of way when we try to uplift and be proud of our culture ?

      1. Because it’s controversial dumb ass, of course religious people will get upset.. Just like if I said white people created rap you’d probably flip a shit, you wouldn’t be having any of their “let US do US”.

    6. Blacks, Latinos and Native Americans, you are the Children of Israel. Read Deuteronomy 28. Look up Gathering of Christ Church to learn about your Israelite heritage. Shalom my brothas and sistas.

    7. BlackIce I assume you don’t read the Bible because if you did you would know that THE MOST HIGH speaks on HATE all throughout the bible. If you like I can send you scriptures on the matter!!!!!!

    8. enough of all these Kendrick Lamar hype news..who gives a fuck what Lamar thinks. trying to bring logic out of uninteresting verses. GIVE ME ONE MEMORABLE WOW PUNCHLINE IN THE MEDIOCRE DAMN ALBUM WITH JUST 5 GOOD SONGS. HYPE UPON HYPE threads OVER NOTHING. OK Kendrick is the best rapper can we have some sleep now?

      1. Fuck you Drake, we know that’s you… You fvcking got outsold… Take yo L, stick it up yo retarded white ass, sit on it and be humble

    9. It all sounds hotep-adjacent to me. I don’t care if it’s too different things. They still possess the same racist, misogynistic views that most white nationalists have but in a different package. Stay ashy tho

    10. The lyrics where introspective . the beats where uneventful. But the message a1. Its a wierd album . but needed. The convo is needed. But i heard this other l.a. rapper called the black scorsese mention black hebrews in a song called jerusalem on his 1st project high life. For more context check that project out. Its far from mumble rap. When kendrick dropped this i thought of this album .jerusalem it was more of an aggressive punchline approach to this situation but i say that to say alot of brothers in cali are rapping about our true herigages. Afro ancestry are all the original creators of the religions. Kenny chooses to stand for something . yes abraham ancestors where prophesized 400 years captivity in genesis. Dueteronomy speaks of this 400 years punishment. Consequently there are 12 indigenous haplogroups that make up the hebrews. They are a copper and bronze people. Hebrew is african. The others came into fold while africans inhabited usa and ancient Phoenix was the western Egypt. The Chinese Mongolian tribes traveled down and where showed love. Usa is isreal

    11. African-Americans always try to be apart of something they’re not apart of so to say that your a Israelite but never been there and have no relatives or descendants is just insane

      1. I can tell YOU’RE not very intelligent from the grammar within your post; however, blacks are Israelites. We are the people of which the Bible speaks…learn YOUR history before you post ignorant comments.

    12. Can’t believeybelieve yougyou guys deleted my first comment. You guys don’t respect black men opinions. So called black peopledpeople do not have to agree with oppression. We are the Israelites!!!

    13. 1 Word For Y’all Blacks Overseas! “COME BACK HOME”(AFRICA). Fight for what Belongs to you,not what you wanna share.
