HipHopDX Premiere: After unveiling the single last month, New Orleans MC Alfred Banks has returned with an emotionally-charged visual for “The Funeral Of Orlandas Banks,” a song dedicated to his brother who committed suicide at the age of 33 after struggling with schizophrenia.
“Shooting this video was an amazing emotional rollercoaster,” Banks explains to HipHopDX. “The location was awesome and the storyboard GhostMonster and I came up with fits the song so well. I’m proud of this piece being the best video I have ever released for the most important song of my career. I hope the people enjoy.”
With his brother in mind, Banks vents inside a church while expressing the pain he felt fighting the duality of mourning with his family, and getting ready for his ill-timed show that night. The song comes from his forthcoming full-length album, The Beautiful.Watch the moving visuals above and check out his tour dates below.
