HipHopDX Premiere: Busty and the Bass has tackled material from Anderson .Paak in the group’s simply-titled video “Anderson .Paak Mix.” In the visual, the group covers snippets of .Paak’s “The Seasons l Carry Me,” “Am I Wrong” and “Heart Don’t Stand A Chance.”
The nine-piece outfit originally met in Montreal, Canada during their first week at McGill University’s jazz school. Since then, they’ve religiously pumped out their eclectic mix of electro-soul, jazz, funk, Hip Hop, and R&B to critical acclaim. The video follows the single “Up Top,” another taste of their forthcoming debut album, which comes with the help of Grammy Award-winning producer Neal Pogue (Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Earth Wind & Fire, M.I.A., Nicki Minaj, Aretha Franklin, Lil Wayne).
