HipHopDX Premiere: Indie Hip Hop artist extraordinaire Onry Ozzborn has rolled through with an official trailer for his forthcoming video, “+ h 3 B1RTH of c v p ii d (The Birth of Cupid),” which follows his Duetsprojects and is the first taste of his next album, c v p ii d. Although the title is nearly impossible to remember (or spell), the video aims to be anything but with its dark, apocalyptic feel.
“The mascot of Valentine’s Day is Cupid, and/or my reinvention of him, c v p ii d,” Ozzborn tells HipHopDX. “I’ve taken his story and combined it with today’s relationships between man and woman through my eyes, and other situations I’ve observed in others.”
Directed by Tim Slew, it’s a combination of four songs off the album and stars Ozzborn (and posse) ripping up the musical landscape as well. Ozzborn is opening pre-orders on Valentine’s Day (appropriately) and sharing an exclusive Spotify stream of the album on February 21 ahead of its official February 28 release, but until then, get a sliver of the project above.
