The often elusive pop singer Nelly Furtado has resurfaced with not only a new album, The Ride, but also a short film to coincide with the release, performance on Late Night With Seth Meyers and vide for “Pipe Dreams.” In the short film, Furtado opens up about her “larger size” and finally being at a peace with her ever-evolving body (she still looks beautiful). The songstress is set to release The Ride on March 31 with production from Grammy-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Explosions in the Sky, Blondie, Erykah Badu, Franz Ferdinand). Furtado has famously teamed up with several Hip Hop artists, including N.E.R.D. on “Hot N’ Fun,” Nas on “Something” and Nelly on “M.O.” Check out the short film above and “Pipe Dreams” below.
