After years of relative silence, Grammy Award-winning electronic soul/funk sensation Jamiroquai have not only announced a string of international headline festival dates, but also a new video for “Automaton,” the title track from the British group’s forthcoming album. It’s their first album since 2010’s Rock Dust Star Light and ninth release overall, a catalog that began with 1993’s Emergency On Planet Earth (hmm…seems relevant now).

Founded in 1992 by front man Jay Kay, the pioneers of “future funk” have established themselves as one of the most successful acts on the planet. With famous fans including the Chance the Rapper, Pharrell, Tyler the Creator, Jungle, Redman, Stevie Wonder, and The Internet, Jamiroquai prides itself on being a unifying musical innovator. Jamiroquai also holds the Guinness Book of World Records record for the best-selling funk album of all time, 1996’s Travelling Without Moving.
