An artist and a President, both from Chicago, both rising to ubiquity around the same time with a close enough relationship to lightheartedly shade each other publicly. Whether you’ll remember Obama’s term in office fondly or frantically can’t wait for Trump’s era to begin, we haven’t seen a relationship between a President and an emcee play out as publicly, colloquially, or as consistently as the one between two kids with funny names from the southside of Chicago.
