There were a number of trends and trending topics in 2016. Perhaps none more unfortunate than the media’s willingness to disseminate inaccurate information. Hip Hop heads got excited when news that DOOM officiated a wedding in his iconic villain mask this October. Heads also flipped when it seemed like Eric B & Rakim were supporting Donald Trump. Both stories were false and still spread like eczema. Are publications as we know them still necessary if we’re more concerned with speed than accuracy and actively competing with a Fake News industry?
