Finess The Great, by the way of Kansas City, Missouri, now resides in Los Angeles. He started rapping after being a big fan of artists like Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Andre 3000, just to name a few. Most of his raps highlight his struggles and how he is elevating from them. Not wanting to be known as another struggle rapper, his content is full of substance and style.
Now, Finess releases the official music video for “Proper,” the lead single from his project $oon. The record is an ode to avoiding short cuts and embracing the struggle. Finess raps to manage feelings of rising to higher levels, and everything that comes with it. Coupled with production by Sean Friday, “Proper” makes it seem as though their ability to create high-quality music is. . . automatic. Get excited for $oon, slated to drop on November 29.
