On an episode of the CRWN interview series, A Tribe Called Quest sat down with host Elliot Wilson to discuss topics such as the group’s critically acclaimed new album, We got it from Here…Thank You 4 Your service, recording “Scenario,” ATCQ’s Saturday Night Live appearance, and what sparked the long-awaited reunion.
“The thing that inspired it was we performed on Jimmy Fallon for the 25th anniversary of the first album,” Q-Tip said. “We immediately felt that energy. Jarobi and I were heading to the site, and I was like we need to do an EP.”
