Hip Hop vet E-40 is back with another video, this time for “Savage,” which features frequent collaborators Jazze Pha and B-Legit. Armed with a banging beat (as usual), the video shows the colorful trio living it up. Fancy cars, lots of cash and half-naked ladies — what else do they possibly need?

“E-40’s sound is always versatile but when we team up it’s a greenlight go,” B-Legit said in a press release. “‘Savage’ has an uptempo dance floor beat if you ask me. The way Jazze Pha works the hook makes it catchy as a matter of fact, I sing it in my head all the time.”

“Savage” is also a preview of what’s to come from E-4o’s highly anticipated 42-track effort, The D-Boy Diary Book 1 & The D-Boy Diary Book 2, scheduled for a Friday (November 18) release.

“I was inspired by the young homies that were in the studio the night when I heard the ‘Savage’ beat,” Jazze Pha added. “I pulled my verses from that savage [‘I don’t give a fuck’] lifestyle when a youngin’ got a pocket fulla cash, smoking good and drinking good, and he feels like he can have it all.”

The video follows up E-40’s earlier releases, including the recent “On One” featuring AD, “Slappin” featuring Nef the Pharaoh and D.R.A.M., and the radio hit “Petty” with Kamaiyah.
