THE ERA is a Chicago-based footwork crew. Members of the group have performed on Windy City live ABC 7 Chicago, London’s Barbican, Pitchfork music festival in Chicago, Lollapalooza, South by Southwest and have collaborated with various artists and collectives such as Teklife, Towkio, Chance The Rapper, Savemoney, and Mic Terror.
The group was founded on the Southside of Chicago. Litebulb, SteeLo, Dempsey, and Chief Manny (along with DJ Jody Digital) met as members of the Chicago battle crew Terra Squad. Litebulb and P-Top (Goon Squad) met on the set of David Gordon Green’s film Manglehorn starring Al Pacino, for a cameo and soon after formed THE ERA with the original members. Together, they strive to push dance and music together as one to the next level.
